Competition Judge – Kip Eagen
Kip Eagen is a nationally recognized public art consultant, curator and museum professional. A native Cincinnatian, he attended The Kansas City Art Institute, where he also worked for the Morgan Art Gallery. After graduating from KCAI, he returned to Cincinnati to work at the Contemporary Arts Center and was co-founder of CAGE (Cincinnati Artist Group Effort). After the CAC, Kip became Director of the Tangeman Fine Arts Gallery at the University of Cincinnati, where he worked for ten years. In 1989, he moved to south Florida, serving as Director of The PBCC Museum of Contemporary Art in Lake Worth for nine years, then in Boca Raton as Director of the International Museum of Cartoon Art and Animation. He later became the Director of the Indianapolis Museum of Art’s Columbus Gallery. Kip returned to Cincinnati, working for the past sixteen years here as an independent Curator and Public Art consultant for clients in the Midwest and South Florida.
