Welcome to the 2024 Artisans of the 38th Wyoming Art Show. We are excited to showcase 10 different mediums at this year's show: ceramics, drawing/graphic design, fibers, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture, and wood.
Original ceramics are created and crafted with clay and hardened through heating at high temperatures then decorated with glaze or painting.
Drawing is a visual art that involves using drawing instruments to mark paper or another two-dimensional medium. Graphic design is a creative process that combines art and technology to communicate ideas.
Fiber art refers to fine art whose material consists of natural or synthetic fiber and other components.
Glass medium includes artwork that are either partly or entirely made of glass.
Art jewelry is a form of creative expression and design that emphasizes the process of making jewelry over the value of its materials. It is most often made by studio craftspeople and is unique, thus not mass produced.
Mixed media art is a visual art form that combines multiple materials or media in a single artwork.
The artform of painting uses either a brush or other implement, such as palette knife, sponge, or airbrush to apply the paint. The painting is an expression of ideas and emotions, with the creation of certain aesthetic qualities, in a two-dimensional visual language.
Photography art is the process of recording an image, photograph, on lightsensitive film or, in the case of digital photography, via a digital electronic or magnetic memory.
Sculpture is a three-dimensional art made by one of four basic processes: carving, modelling, casting, constructing.
Wood art refers to the hard, fibrous material that comes from the stems and branches of trees. It is most commonly used in carvings, sculpting, and creating sculptures.
