Working in both 2D and 3D media—including oils, acrylics, and bronze—his work ranges from representational to abstract, exploring the complexities of intra- and interpersonal dynamics. A former graphic designer and graduate of the University of Cincinnati's Graphic Design program, Paul rekindled his lifelong passion for fine art in his 40s, furthering his studies at the Massachusetts College of Art, the International School of Drawing, Painting, and Sculpture in Umbria, Italy, and other programs.
Paul's artistic influences include Picasso, Matisse, Henry Moore, Pablo Gargallo, Barbara Hepworth, the Bay Area figurative artists, and contemporary illustrators and designers. His work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions across New England and the Midwest, and resides in private collections throughout the U.S. and abroad.
He is a recipient of the Ohio Arts Council Artist Opportunity Grant and the Summerfair Cincinnati Aid to Individual Artists Grant, and has received numerous awards, including honors from the Zanesville Museum of Art, the Ohio Art League, and the Cincinnati Art Club.
